WHAT IS MERCSCON?
Mercscon is a biannual conference of the members of the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club. Every two years (opposite years from Star Wars Celebration) the MMCC gathers in a different city to celebrate the club, enjoy the comradery of members from around the world, learn from each other, and bond over Mandalorian culture.
The event is more of a conference rather than a convention, focusing on club business and education as opposed to being an “in kit” event. The event opens with our Presentation of Banners, where member-made banners from Mandalorian Clans from all over are paraded into the conference hall and presented to Mandalore and the Command Staff. These are put on display for later judging and awards. Then the event begins with opening remarks from our leadership, where members here from and get to know the command staff of the organization.
The rest of the typically three-day event is filled with educational panels about the club and our mission, how-to panels to learn about armors and kit building, set building for conventions, and hand-on demonstrations and classes. This is punctuated by social gathering on and off-site. Members can attend our Victory Dinner on day one where there is plenty of food and fun. Throughout the three days or members, and perspective members have the opportunity to network, learn new skills, and be a part of our ever-growing organization and charitable mission.
HISTORY
MercsCon 1 was held in Dayona Beach, Florida, USA in November of 2018. Over 100 Mercs descended onto the beach that year and traditions were established for the club and for every MercsCon to come.

MercsCon 2 was few years later in October of 2021 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
MercsCon 3 was originally planned for Puerto Rico, USA however, the event was postponed until October 2024 and took place in Denver, Colorado. Dubbed Revenge of the Rockies. This highly successful event began with pageantry including welcome letters from Colorado Governor Polis and Mayor of Denver Johnston. The highlight of the event was special guest Brendan Wayne, who spoke with Mandalore in an interview format and hung around to tell stories and sign autographs.
MercsCon 4 is scheduled for August 6th to 9th, 2026 in Alexandria, Virginia, USA.
